Henry Peake

Funeral services for Henry Peake, Jr., 83, of Algood, Tennessee will be conducted Sunday, April 27, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alggod Chapel of Hopper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. William Powell officiating. Interment will follow in the Algood Cemetery.

Mr. Peake was died on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Masters Health Care Center.

Mr. Peake was born April 26, 1919 in Buffalo Valley, Tennessee to the late Josie Peake Carter and John Maynard.

Mr. Peake was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and was employed with Cookeville Golf and Country Club for a number of years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Salter Peake.

Survivors include one daughter, Martha Louise Peake of Algood, 2 sisters - Nannie Mai Word and Mai Nell Craigwall and one brother - Sammy Joe Carter, all of Lebanon, TN, devoted friends James and Evon Hicks of Cookeville, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Melvin Peake, Jerry Hayes, Floyd Cartwright, William Lamberson, Harvey Smith, Michael Mullins, Walter Gardenhire, Donald C. Hayes, Thomas Martin, Curtis Hayes and William Carter.

Mr. Peake's family will receive friends Sunday, April 27, 2003 from noon until the time of services at the Algood Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home.

Algood Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
