Jewell Anderson

Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Anderson, 90, of Grafton, Ohio and formerly of Baxter, will be conducted Monday, May 5, at 2 p.m. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with burial in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Bill Robertson officiating.

Mrs. Anderson died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 in Fairview General Hospital in Fairview Park, Ohio.

Mrs. Anderson was born February 17, 1913, in Smith County, to the late William Tyre and Maggie Bates Haggard. She lived in the Cleveland-Grafton, Ohio area for 41 years. She was a member of the Christian Unity Church in Eaton Township for many years. She had worked for Spped Queen Laundry in Cleveland for many years until her retirement in 1975. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and caring for her family at home.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband - Monroe Anderson, 2 sisters - Vola & Ruby Haggard, 4 brothers - Jesse, Toy, William "Bud" and Verble Haggard.

Survivors are: 2 daughters - Reba Hebble of Pinellas Park, Florida, Shirley Morse of Grafton, Ohio, 2 sons - Houston Odell Anderson of Pinellas Park, Florida and Ray Anderson of Columbia Station, Ohio, 1 sister - Lorene Anderson Harris of Cookeville, 2 brothers - Ed and Lenell Haggard, both of Smithville, TN, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends after 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2003 at the funeral home.
