Elizabeth Louise "Betha" Martin

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Louise "Betha" Martin, 82, of Baxter will be conducted on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin died on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2003 at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born March 29, 1921 in McMinnville, TN, to the late Milton and Loma Daisy Neece Smartt.

She was a homemaker and member of the Jere Whitson Road Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband - Abe Martin, Jr. on December 4, 1994, a brother - Emery Smartt, a sister - Jearline Smartt, and a half-sister - Maggie Fults.

Survivors are: 2 daughters and son-in-law - Elaine & Terry Adams of Springfield, TN and Gloria Martin of Baxter, son & daughter-in-law - Abe Martin III and Linda Martin of Dayton, Ohio, grandchildren & spouses - Paul Adams, Ursula & Erich Lorenz, Kristy & Ray Bryant, Barbara & Brent Harmon, Samantha & Eric Gilmore, and Billy Faulkner, great-grandchildren - Nathan Lorenz, Lexie Lorenz, Emily Eilzabeth Lorenz and Chandler Harmon.

Bro. Loren Stephens, Bro. Jeff Sharp and Bro. Thom Steger will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Paul Adams, Erich Lorenz, Brent Harmon, Ray Bryant, Eric Gilmore & Billy Faulkner.

Mrs. Martin's family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
