Gladys Whitaker

Funeral services for Gladys Whitaker, 86, of Monterey, Tennessee will be conducted Sunday, April 6, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. from the Monterey 1st Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Whitaker was born October 29, 1916 in Hanging Limb, Tennessee to the late Amon and Winnie Wilson Key.

Mrs. Whitaker passed away Friday, April 4, 2003 at the Livingston Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Whitaker was a nurse working many years at the Monterey Hospital. She was a devoted member of the Monterey 1st Freewill Baptist Church where she had taught many Sunday School Classes.

Her family includes:

Jim and Linda Whitaker - Donelson, TN

5 sisters - Lella Gann - Lafayette, TN
Lucille Ketchum - Rose City, Michigan
Ruth Ann Tayes - Baxter, TN
Judy Matheney - Cookeville, TN
Cheryl Blakely - Palm Harbor, Florida

3 brothers - Earl Key - West Carrolton, Ohio
Bill Key - Algood, TN
Leroy Key - Gainsboro, TN

3 grandchildren

5 great-grandchildren

Mrs. Whitaker was preceded in death by her husband - Cecil Whitaker.

Memorials may be given to the Monterey 1st Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Whitaker's family will receive friends Saturday, April 5, 2003 from 6 until 9 p.m. at Goff Funeral Home.
