Mr.Gary Beaty

Funeral services for Mr.Gary Beaty, 45, of Monterey, Tennessee will be conducted Sunday, June 8, 2003 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home.

Rev. Preston Brown will officiate with interment to follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.

Mr.Beaty was born August 31, 1957 in Dayton, Ohio to Johnny and Eva Short Beaty who survives of the Shady Grove Community near Monterey.

Mr.Beaty passed away Thursday, June 5, 2003 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr.Beaty was a member of the Monterey Church of the Nazarene where he was superintent of Sunday School and he was Secretary of the church board. He was a substitute teacher at Monterey High School and Burks Middle School.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Merri-Ellen Podgers Beaty- Monterey, TN 2 daughters- April Beaty-Alexandria, IN and Melia Jo Beaty- Monterey, TN 1 son- Greg Beaty- Alexandria, IN 2 step-sons- David Ryglewski, Monterey, TN and Michael Ryglewski, Monterey, TN 1 sister- Elega and Johnny Gentry, Cookeville, TN 6 brothers- Roger and Janet Beaty- Pendleton, IN, Michael and Cindy Beaty, Lawrence, IN Jerry and Nancy Beaty, Gainsboro, TN, Rodney and June Beaty, Monterey, TN Jason Beaty- Monterey, TN and Rick and Krystal Beaty, Monterey, TN

Staff and faculty of Monterey High School and Burks Middle School will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday June 7th from 6pm until 9pm.
