Rufus Choate

Funeral services for Rufus Choate, 50 of Clearwater, Florida, and formally of Monterey, Tennessee will be conducted Wednesday June 25th, at 2:00 p.m. From the Monterey United Methodist Church.

Rev. David Adams will be officiating. With interment to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery.

Mr Choate was born June 23, 1952 in monterey, TN to the late Clayton Choate and Thelma Griffith Choate who survives in Monterey.

Mr. Choate's passed way suddenly Thursday June19, 2003 in Clearwater, Florida.

Mr. Choate was a member of SkyCrest United Methodist Church, in Clearwater, Florida. He was an appliance technician with MacGray in Tampa, Florida. He enjoyed playing golf. He was a 1970 graduate of Monterey High School and a 1974 graduate of University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.

In addition to his mother, his family includes a daughter Many Choate- Plm Harbor, Florida, a son Joshua Choate, Tampa, Florida. 2 Sisters, Joyce Walters, Sliger,Wisc. And Robin Jago, Kingston, Tennessee. A Brother, Philip Choate of Monterey.

Rufus Choate's family will receive friends at the church Wednesday June 25th, from 11 am until time of service at the Monterey United Methodist Church.
